We were established in 1976 in the highlands city of Mount Hagen. From humble beginnings operating four-wheel drive adventure trips around the PNG Highlands, we slowly moved into more 'mainstream' tourism with the addition of several wilderness lodges to our portfolio.

In 1978 we acquired Karawari Lodge in the lowlands of the East Sepik Province. Seven years later in 1985 Ambua Lodge in the Hela Province was built. In 1989 our 9-berth 'floating lodge', the Sepik Spirit was commissioned and built in the PNG coastal city of Lae. It was then sailed via Madang to its current home on the mighty Sepik River. Malolo Plantation Lodge on the Madang North Coast was then acquired and completely renovated in 1991. Bensbach Wildlife Lodge in a far corner of the Western Province was officially added to our portfolio in 2003. Rondon Ridge, built high in the mountains above Mount Hagen was opened in 2006 providing a luxurious introduction to our lodges and welcome stepping stone to civilization before departure from Mount Hagen. Lake Murray Lodge is the latest addition to our portfolio and was built in 2013 in the remote Western Province, on a small island in Lake Murray, where tourists have only now been introduced.

Our lodges, each unique in the cultural and ecological experiences that they offer, provide convenient access to some of the incredible diversity that PNG is renowned for. Our lodges are in some of the remotest parts of the country and are intended as comfortable bases from which to explore the cultures and ecologies of the surrounding areas.

Brought about by the inherent difficulties of travel in PNG, we have become almost completely self-sufficient over the years, acquiring and managing our own fleets of aircraft, vehicles and boats at each of our properties.
