ACCOUNTS PAYABLE OFFICER

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Finance Department for a qualified and experienced Accounts Payable Officer.

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for day to day cheque raising for all local creditors and miscellaneous payment, filing, data entry and or any other task delegated by the AP Manager, the Senior Finance Manager or the Financial Controller.

MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

• Ensure that payment requisitions are checked and verified by the AP Manager and approved by the Senior Finance Manager or the Financial Controller before any cheque is raised.
• Must maintain a daily listing of all payment raised for each day.
• Reconcile statements and payments records
• Ensure payments are applied correctly in the finance system
• Monthly Filling of all payment vouchers once all internal entries are completed.
• The incumbent will ensure to check daily in-tray/out-tray and clear all from terminal 1 and terminal 2
• Other duties/responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary Qualified in Business Studies, and/or Accounting
• Must have at least 1 - 3 years’ working experience within Finance or in the aviation Industry
• Have good customer service skills
• Have excellent communication skills
