ACCOUNTS RECIEVABLE TEAM LEADER
This position also supports the Credit Controller and Financial Controller to ensure that debt collections within Finance operations are organized efficiently in terms of the company’s monthly revenue procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Receivable Team Leader should be a close liaison with the credit controller that credit issues are resolved smoothly and assist on other work related issues
- Managing Accounts Receivable Team
- Supporting and coaching other team members
- Checking customer’s credit situation for all clients against the age debtors report
- Provide analysis of aged debtor
- Liaising with internal/external parties
- Handle disputed bills within certain time scale for invoices to be paid on time
- Ensure daily payments are confirmed against respective bank statements and receipted into respective customer accounts
- Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required
- Ensure Monthly client statements/invoices are sent out as per agreed terms
- Accounts Receivable Team Leader oversees the Credit Control team during the absence of the Credit controller
- Attend to Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Credit Controller & Financial Controller
- Refer or report any customers stop paying or pay late within certain time fame to the Credit Controller to liaise with the commercial for further action.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES
- Minimum of four (3) years’ experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable position preferably in airlines industry or similar environment
- Detailed working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and accounting software applications
- Work place health and safety understanding
- Excellent level of Microsoft Office, including excel and word
- Able to manage own workload, set and meet deadlines and operate independently and with minimum levels of supervision
