BATCH PLANT OPERATOR

Reporting to the Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of concrete or other materials in a batching plant, ensuring quality control, safety and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operation of Batching Equipment: The operator manages the batching process, which includes measuring and mixing raw materials to produce concrete according to specific mix designs.

• Quality Control: Ensuring that the produced materials meet quality standards and specifications. This involves conducting regular inspections and tests on the materials and final products.
• Records Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of production, including batch logs, mix designs and any adjustments made during the batching process.
• General Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of batching equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Coordination: Working closely with truck drivers and other team members to schedule and coordinate the delivery of materials and ensure timely production.

Successful candidate must have the following skills and attributes:

• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of concrete batching processes, plant equipment and quality control standards is essential.
• Experience: Previous hands-on experience in concrete batching or a related field is required. Candidates with certifications in batch plant operations or similar will be highly regarded.
• Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety standards and practices is crucial as the role involves heavy machinery and handling of raw materials.
