Are you ready to lead innovation in the digital devices category? We are seeking a Category Manager to lead and manage the Digital Devices category.
The ideal candidate will drive growth and profitability by overseeing procurement, product assortment, allocations, promotional planning, and merchandising.
Responsibilities:
- Manage digital product assortments, ensuring seasonal relevance and appropriate merchandise purchasing.
- Handle sourcing, pricing, and profitability for newly launched products.
- Develop after-sales service strategies, including setting up service points.
- Allocate new products and establish inventory parameters (min/max quantities) for stores.
- Drive sales and GP (gross profit) targets while maintaining profitability.
- Monitor and analyse category performance monthly, presenting insights to the operations team.
- Ensure supplier service fill-rates and product availability across all classifications (A-E SKUs).
- Manage inventory by addressing slow-moving items and maintaining optimal weeks of supply.
- Identify growth opportunities with exclusive product lines and lead new product development, supported by comprehensive marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications with experience in digital category management; a technology background is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems like Pronto.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proven expertise in category management, marketing, sales, and retail inventory.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovation.
