Crew Rostering Officer

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Operations Department for a qualified and experienced Crewing Rostering Officer.

Based in Port Moresby this position will report to the Crew Resource Coordinator. The overall purpose of the Crew Rostering Officer is to efficiently and effectively organize the schedules and rosters of crew members within the organization. They will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all operational requirements are met while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and company regulations. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to balance various factors such as crew availability, qualifications, and legal constraints will be essential for the smooth functioning of our operation.

The Crew Rostering Officer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, distributing Daily Ops Movement
  • Develop and maintain crew rosters, ensuring adequate coverage for all operational activities.
  • Coordinate with departmental managers to understand staffing requirements and prioritize crew assignments accordingly.
  • Serve as a point of contact for crew members regarding scheduling inquiries, requests for time off, and other related matters.
  • Communicating changes of crew availability to all stakeholders
  • Printing and checking latest Air Maestro flight and duty time reports
  • Responsible for Rostering all flight crew (Pilots and Cabin Crew)
  • Ensure all crew members comply with CASA regulations
  • Other duties as required from time to time by the Crew Coordinator

To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:

  • Educated to Grade 12 or equivalent
  • University Degree is an advantage
  • Quick Learning Skills
  • Have good communication skills
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Excel
  • Sound computer knowledge and / or skills
