Job Title: Community Relationship Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and community-focused Community Relationship Manager to foster strong relationships between our agricultural organization and the communities in which we operate. This role plays a vital part in building trust, managing stakeholder concerns, promoting agricultural initiatives, and ensuring open communication with local communities, farmers, government bodies, and non-profit partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies aligned with the organization’s agricultural operations and social responsibility goals.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local farmers, cooperatives, community leaders, NGOs, and government agencies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to agricultural projects.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, agricultural forums, field days, and public information sessions.
• Support educational outreach initiatives and sustainability programs that promote agricultural development and community well-being.
• Monitor community sentiment and identify emerging issues or opportunities to improve engagement.
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., farming operations, sustainability, PR) to ensure community concerns are addressed.
• Prepare reports and presentations on community engagement outcomes and impacts.
• Represent the organization at local events, industry gatherings, and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Community Development, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, preferably within the agricultural or rural development sector.
• Strong understanding of agricultural practices and rural community dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including rural populations, government officials, and partner organizations.
• Willingness to travel frequently to rural and remote locations.

Preferred Skills:

• Fluency in local languages/dialects is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of sustainable agriculture, land management, or agroecology.
• Experience in conflict resolution or community dispute mediation.
• Project management and event coordination skills.
