Customer Service Officer – Port Moresby

An opportunity has risen within the Operation Division an experienced Customer Service Officer. The position based in Port Moresby and will report to the Port Supervisor. This role is responsible for day to day Customer Service issues such as complaints, investigations and management by all travelling passengers. They must ensure a high level of Customer Service is maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attending daily briefings
  • Ensure operational areas are ready for day of operations
  • Assist maintain a clean and professional environment
  • Work as a team to ensure TOP targets are achieved
  • Pre-editing flights prior to commencement of check-in to ensuring all groups, CIPs, VIPs and TCPs are allocated appropriate seats
  • Assist passengers through the check-in and boarding process in accordance with the Ground Operations Manual
  • Ensuring PA’s are made in clear and professional manner
  • Assist passengers with special requirement, UMNR, WCHR etc
  • Forwarding appropriate operational messages to the relevant parties
  • Communicating disruption advice to passengers and provide regular updates
  • Collection of excess baggage charges
  • Ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times
  • Report all accidents to the Airport Manager

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality would be an advantage
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Strong people skills with being polite, well-mannered and approachable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service and/or
  • Previous experience working with a customer service oriented company or other high pressure business environment
