EFM is the largest independent, international logistics provider of sea, air and road freight movements in PNG. EFM has regional foot print throughout the South Pacific and Australia. As part of our structural improvement and to cater for the needs of our expanding customer base, an exciting opportunity exists within our Customs Team in Port Moresby.

Job Requirements

• Be able to read, write and speak English to a high standard.
• Must have two or more years’ Compiler/Broker experience.
• Have knowledge of PNG Customs Laws and Procedures.
• Ensure all Import/Export shipments are in compliance with PNG Customs regulations.
• Resolve any issues or disputes related to customs clearance, including classification, valuation, and origin of goods.
• Conduct tariff classifications for a wide range of goods and accurately apply Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
• Be competent and proficient in ASYCUDA World System (AW).
• Must not have outstanding liabilities/warnings with PNG Customs.
• Experience and references from reputable employers.
• Able to pass medical (including drug & alcohol) test.
• The right applicant must have the ability to work on their own and also part of a team.
• Be able to work under pressure for extended hours, if required.
• Others, perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Be in possession of a valid PNG’s Customs Broker’s license.
• Have a copy of PNG Customs Brokerage examination results.
• Have training certificate in ASYCUDA World.
• Must provide an updated/current clearance certificate from PNG customs.
