Dispatcher

We are currently looking for persons of experience and exposure to the logistics industry with in-depth knowledge of warehousing and dispatch procedures coupled with the ability to provide high customer service delivery pertaining to operational activities. The incumbent will ensure all pick up information and delivery queries are dispatched to the appropriate Courier Driver and Operations Agent in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure response times to driver inquiries are timely and effective.
• To maintain a good communicational relationship with all internal and external contacts.
• Ensure customer service has a daily update of courier status.
• Maintain clear line of communication with all Courier Drivers and Operations Agents.
• Ensure all pickups are accounted for at the end of each cycle.
• Update and control heavyweight fleet scheduling.
• Ensure all regular pick-up sheets are updated as required and available at all times.
• Co-operate with policies, procedures and safety rules or instructions relating to health and safety
• Report hazards, incidents and near missed to your supervisor on the day of the occurrence.

Candidates' requirements for the role include:

• Minimum Diploma of Business Administration
• Minimum of three years’ work experience in a similar role in the logistics industry
• Highly developed warehousing and dispatch skills
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient with the use of computers and other relevant technology
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
• Current police clearance certificate
• Valid Identification Card (NID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport/ Drivers License)
• Current class 6 driver’s license
