The Organisation:
Pacific Adventist University (PAU) is owned and operated by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The institution is accredited to the Adventist Accreditation Association, an international denominational authority for all tertiary and graduate educational programs and institutions owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church entities. The main campus is located on the pristine Koiari Park, 14 miles outside Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. The institution was established in 1984. Since then, it has grown from a college of 20 students, to a university of over 1000 students from across the Pacific.
The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Female Security Guard to join our Campus Security team. Reporting to the Security Supervisor, the female Security Guard will play a crucial role in providing security services and support for the safety, security and wellbeing of the PAU Community, PAU Infrastructure and the PAU Campus (land) as a whole, as directed by the Security Supervisor and/or Security Operations Coordinator. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle security-related situations with discretion and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Grade 10 Certificate
- 3 years of experience in security services
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be of good physical health and wellbeing
- Have very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have very good observation/surveillance skills and be able to provide well-written Security Incident Reports.
- Ability to operate two-way radios and/or other equipment used by the Security Department of the University.
- Ability to take instruction and work effectively within a team environment.
- Must have a good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety
