About the Role
As the Finance Business Partner – Properties, you will be responsible for overseeing all finance operations for the Properties Division while contributing to strategic decision-making across the portfolio. Based in Port Moresby and reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will manage financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a small team across finance and administration.
This is a hands-on senior role requiring strong financial expertise, organisational capability, and the confidence to partner with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation, financial regulations and internal policies
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes
- Support audit preparation and maintain strong internal controls
- Lead, manage and mentor finance and administration staff
- Work closely with the Group CFO and property leaders on strategic and operational decisions
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance with a professional certification, CPA or CMA is an advantage
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial management, having led a team
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, compliance requirements and financial regulations
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, preferably in property, real estate, or asset management.
- Systems experience with QuickBooks, SAP or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of PNG statutory requirements (taxation, superannuation, labour, workers’ compensation, etc.)
- Strong leadership capability with excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
