ProPest Control Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join our team. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent numerical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Finance Officer

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
  2. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
  3. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  4. Process, verify, and post customer invoices in MYOB.
  5. Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments.
  6. Follow up with clients on outstanding debts via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  7. Preparation monthly GST
  8. Updating of Asset Register.
  9. Generate regular aging reports to track overdue accounts.
  10. Update Cash Sales Journal
  11. Implement effective debt collection strategies to minimize outstanding debts.
  12. Negotiate payment arrangements with clients, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  13. Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions in MYOB.
  14. Reconcile customer payments with invoices and bank statements.
  15. Generate MYOB reports to support month-end and year-end financial processes.
  16. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  17. Assist with internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries
  18. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting
  19. Processing of Payroll & related payments
  20. Other duties as and when required by management.

Job requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Business Management
  • Previous Experience in a Finance officer role
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proven Experience in Accounts and Debt Collection
  • Proficient in MYOB accounting software.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proactive and solution-oriented with a “can-do” attitude.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literate (excel, word & outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analitical and problem solving skills
