ProPest Control Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join our team. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent numerical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Finance Officer
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process, verify, and post customer invoices in MYOB.
- Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments.
- Follow up with clients on outstanding debts via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Preparation monthly GST
- Updating of Asset Register.
- Generate regular aging reports to track overdue accounts.
- Update Cash Sales Journal
- Implement effective debt collection strategies to minimize outstanding debts.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with clients, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions in MYOB.
- Reconcile customer payments with invoices and bank statements.
- Generate MYOB reports to support month-end and year-end financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting
- Processing of Payroll & related payments
- Other duties as and when required by management.
Job requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Business Management
- Previous Experience in a Finance officer role
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proven Experience in Accounts and Debt Collection
- Proficient in MYOB accounting software.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a “can-do” attitude.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Computer literate (excel, word & outlook)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and use initiative
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analitical and problem solving skills
