The opportunity
A leading organization within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to drive insightful analysis and ensure operational excellence across financial reporting, the planning and control cycle, and compliance.

The Role
In this role, the ideal candidate will take ownership of financial reporting, drive the planning and control cycle, and ensure full compliance with accounting standards and policies. They will lead month-end closing processes, manage fixed assets and inventory, and oversee working capital to support business efficiency. As a key financial steward, the candidate will uphold the integrity of the financial structure, ensure the precise application of accounting principles, and actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results. Proven experience in group reporting and balance sheet reconciliations is essential.

Main duties include:
  • Drive management insights through effective periodic management reports.
  • Coordinate month-end closing tasks.
  • Manage fixed assets and inventory in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare and submit financial and non-financial data for group reporting.
  • Prepare local statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial year audits
Qualification and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local GAAP.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, month-end closing, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience with fixed asset and inventory management, including related policies and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and tax returns, and working with local authorities.
  • Experience in coordinating financial audits with external auditors and managing inter-company reporting and reconciliations.
  • Experience in preparing management reports using tools like PowerBI and familiarity with ERP and financial consolidation systems (e.g., CIL).
