About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a stable, diversified business in Lae, PNG. This is a high-profile role overseeing multiple divisions within a diversified business spanning agriculture, wholesales and commercial ventures. The successful candidate will drive growth, capture new opportunities, and position the business for long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth, including commercialising assets, exploring export opportunities.
• Lead multiple divisions including agriculture, animal production, property and feed operations.
• Manage sales, commercial operations, and strategic initiatives across all divisions.
• Oversee a workforce of ~600 employees within a broader group of ~1,300, building capability and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Support shareholder objectives, including strategic investments/divestments, partnerships and alignment with business priorities.
• Provide strong operational leadership, including change management, process improvement, and risk management.
• Engage with Boards, partners, regulators, investors and community stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Energetic, growth-oriented, and results-driven leader with demonstrated commercial acumen and a track record of delivering strong performance across multiple business units or divisions.
• Proven experience in organisational change, transformation, and operational improvements.
• 10+ years’ experience in a General Manager or senior leadership role within agriculture, farming, wholesale, or related industries.
• Experience in import/export, sales, and commercial operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and large, multi-division operations.
• Strategic and hands-on leader able to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities and ensure their successful implementation.
• Skilled in engaging Boards, investors, and key stakeholders while ensuring strong governance, financial oversight, and delivery of strategic objectives.
