Pacific Palms Property under Steamships Trading Company is seeking an experienced, results-oriented professional to take on the role of HSSE Manager. This pivotal position is responsible for partnering with business units to deliver effective HSSE risk management services, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with both internal policies and Regulatory health, safety, security, and environmental standards.

As the HSSE Manager, you will be expected to bring a program design mindset to the role, ensuring the successful delivery of Steamships HSSE vision and mission as outlined in STC Group HSSE strategic plan.

Description

The Key responsibilities also include:

• Strategize and drive implementation of key initiatives.
• Driver safety culture. Ensure Felt Leadership & a Just Culture are maintained.
• Maintain risk registers (Enterprise, Department and Process risks).
• Conduct risk assessment as and when necessary.
• Develop, drive the use of and ensure the maintenance of the IMS system up to ISO standards.
• Conduct periodic ISO internal audits against the IMS of business units and functions.
• Ensure incidents are investigated appropriately.
• Lead incident investigations for Properties and Coral Sea Hotels.
• Provide accurate and detailed periodic reports in a timely manner to GMs and STC Group HSSEQ Manager. Weekly dashboard, monthly and quarterly management reports.

Required Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in the OHSE space.
• Five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial role in the OHSE space.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

• Bachelors degree, in Occupational health & safety or related.
• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or Higher.
• ISO Lead Auditor Certificate.
• Risk Management Certificate.
• Lead Incident Investigator Certificate
• Sound knowledge of business activities.
• Proven ability to analyze and problem solve.
• Proven ability to speak in Public.
