About the Opportunity: HR Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for our client's operations in Lae. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of all HR activities, contributing directly to the success and growth of the business unit.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Recruitment and Placement: Overseeing the entire staffing process, from planning and coordinating new hires to managing onboarding and ensuring accurate, compliant job descriptions.
- Employee Relations: Managing and supervising employee disputes, conducting administrative investigations, and advising on disciplinary actions in compliance with labor regulations.
- Learning and Development: Identifying training needs, developing relevant materials and performance management programs, and delivering training sessions to enhance employee skills and motivation.
- Compensation and Benefits: Developing and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits plans for employees.
- HR Administration & Policy: Designing and implementing company policies that foster a healthy work environment, setting objectives for the HR team, and ensuring timely address of employee requests and grievances.
- Strategic Advisory: Acting as a liaison between management and staff, and advising business executives on strategic HR planning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Adult Education, Business Management, or a similar field is essential, along with relevant HR certifications.
- 3-5 years of solid work experience in an HR management role within a similar industry.
- Demonstrated strong communication (written, verbal, non-verbal), planning, coordination, organizing, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Human Resources Management Software, including payroll systems, is preferred.
- Ability to maintain and manage confidential information and a strong capacity for comprehension and understanding of management directives.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills, the ability to work harmoniously with all levels of staff, and good moral character with no history of criminal records.
