IMPORT EXPORT LICENSE CLEARANCE AGENT
Reporting to the Logistic Supervisor, import and export specialist agent will be responsible for facilitating the process of bringing goods into the warehouse and sending goods out of the country. The incumbent will involve in coordinating shipments/freight, handling documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations including customs clearances, and effectively liaising with suppliers/clients and customers in facilitating smooth logistics operations of the Company.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the movement of goods/parts into and out of the country.
- Handling customs clearance documentation and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and any specific goods/parts handling requirements.
- Maintaining communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers in arranging shipments/freights.
- Responsible for expediting the movements of goods/parts in a timely manner
- Accountable for overseeing the logistics of importing and exporting goods/parts.
- Ensuring that all shipments/freights comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documents such as invoices and packing lists and submitting invoices to Company’s cost review committee for approval.
- Responsible for tracking and managing status of shipments and resolving any issues that may arise in the shipment/freight processes.
- Must be competent in negotiating rates and contracts with shipping/freight companies and suppliers.
- Responsible for producing and submitting tracking reports to management on a regular and prompt basis
Minimum Qualification/Experience/Skills
- Grade 12 certificate from recognised secondary educational institutions or higher
- Must have customs brokers license
- Proven experience in import and export operations
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written
- Must be willing to work on weekends and after hours or as per the Roster
- Must comply with all safety standards at all times
- Must have a Police clearance certificate
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
