About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to become an integral part of their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is crucial in maintaining stringent financial controls, ensuring compliance, and delivering timely financial insights that drive the company's success. You will be at the forefront of financial operations, with a strong emphasis on audit readiness and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and lodge all relevant tax returns, including Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Salary & Wages.
• Perform comprehensive monthly account reconciliations across all ledgers.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end close procedures.
• Prepare detailed accounts for annual audits, ensuring all supporting documentation is meticulously organized.
• Maintain and update financial records within the MYOB system.
• Assist actively in audit preparations, addressing auditor queries and providing necessary reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of accurate monthly and annual financial reports.
• Verify that all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, and documented.
• Maintain strict compliance with all statutory and internal financial reporting requirements.
• Ensure accounts are consistently audit-ready, proactively addressing any backlogs.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar accounting role, with a strong focus on financial integrity and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to perform accurate and timely financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of tax compliance and audit preparation processes.
• Proficiency in MYOB financial software is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and contribute to a high-performing finance team.
