About the Role
The organisation is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its property division. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to contribute to a variety of commercial and civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be involved in cost estimation, contract administration, tender preparation, and financial reporting, all within a collaborative and supportive project team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare project cost estimates at various design stages (feasibility, concept, developed design, construction)
- Prepare tender documentation, including complete Bills of Quantities and specifications
- Preparation and administration of consulting, supply and Construction Contracts.
- Review and recommend variations, extension of time claims, and contract-related matters
- Maintain a database of building costs and historical data
- Develop and update project programs in Gantt formats
- Monitor statutory requirements, including building board applications
- Ensure HSE compliance and maintain detailed site progress records
- Attend meetings and conduct regular site visits to track project progress
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or related field
- Over 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in building and civil works
- Strong understanding of project costing, BOQ preparation, and contract administration
- Proficient in MS Excel, project scheduling software and quantity surveying tools
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Team player with high attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A cover letter addressing key criteria of the role
