Job Description:
Wantok Ground Handling Solution is seeking a reliable and hardworking Ramp Officer to join our airport ground operations team. The Ramp Officer will assist with aircraft ground handling to ensure safe and efficient airport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload aircraft baggage, cargo, and mail
• Guide aircraft during parking and departure (marshalling)
• Operate ground support equipment
• Ensure safety procedures are followed on the ramp
• Assist with aircraft servicing tasks such as positioning stairs and equipment
• Work closely with flight crews and ground staff

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Year 12 or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience: Prior ramp/aviation experience advantageous; training provided.
• Licences/Certifications: Airport AVSEC pass, airside driving permit (if required), GSE certifications, DG Awareness, First Aid (preferred).
• Medical: Fit for duty and able to pass pre‑employment and random drug & alcohol tests.
• Other: Ability to work shifts, weekends, nights, and public holidays; reliable transport.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong situational awareness and ramp safety discipline.
• Effective radio communication and teamwork.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for GSE operation.
• Ability to lift up to [e.g., 25–32 kg] with correct techniques and use of aids.
• Familiarity with DG awareness, AVSEC, SMS, and airside driving (if applicable).
• Time management under dynamic operational conditions.
