Recruitment Coordinator

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy exists in our Human Resources Department for a qualified and experienced Recruitment Coordinator.

Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Head of Recruitment/Manager Manpower Planning.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Consulting with hiring managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
  • Screen and evaluate candidates
  • Schedule and conduct interviews
  • Conduct Psyche Tests if applicable
  • Source candidates through local database or social media
  • Able to conduct phone, Skype, MS Teams and/or in-person interviews, noting international time zone differences
  • Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
  • Contact new employees and prepare onboarding session
  • Prepare new hire paperwork ensuring legislation requirements are met
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires
  • Stay up-to-date with current recruiting methods
  • Provide timely vacancy reports to the hiring managers and departments with status of their recruitment

To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:

  • Degree in HR, Psychology or Business Management from a PNG recognized university
  • 3-5 years in Recruitment preferably with knowledge of the Aviation industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Have a CAN DO attitude
  • Great sense of urgency with quick turnaround times
  • Good initiative and switched on person
