Position Title: Recruitment Manager

Reports to: Head of People & Culture

Location: Mt Eriama, 11 Mile Campus, Sogeri Road

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Recruitment Manager to manage the end-to-end recruitment function across the organisation. This role is responsible for attracting, sourcing, assessing, and appointing quality talent to support the University’s operational and academic needs.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the Recruitment Manager will play a key role in strengthening recruitment processes, improving candidate experience, and ensuring timely and effective hiring outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from workforce planning, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and selection through to offer and onboarding
  • Partner with Heads of Schools and Departments to understand staffing needs and provide recruitment advice
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates
  • Coordinate interview panels and ensure fair, transparent, and compliant recruitment processes
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, trackers, and reports
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs
  • Review and continuously improve recruitment policies, procedures, and tools
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, organizational policies, and best practice recruitment standards

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in recruitment, preferably managing end-to-end recruitment
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment legislation
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple vacancies
  • Experience recruiting for academic and professional roles will be an advantage
