Regional Development Coordinator – South Fly region: Suki/Nakaku
This role is responsible for, coordinating, facilitating and delivering the Livelihood Development Package programs in a timely manner to the local CMCA communities in the Suki Fly Gogo area. The main focus being implementation of short to long- term strategies geared towards achieving quality livelihood Development programs for the Suki/Fly/Gogo area. This role is also responsible for the management and operations of the OTDF Nakaku Field Base Team to ensure that the CMCA and OTDF supported projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner to the local communities. He also maintains regular communication regarding projects status and also addresses any community related issues that may arise in this region.
Qualifications, skills, work experiences and attributes preferred for this role are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Sustainable Development from a recognised university.
- 3-5 years relevant work experience in any Agriculture and Livelihood Development projects.
- Have a working knowledge of carrying out extension programs with communities/villages
- Have good people and effective communication skills
- Have some supervisory experience
- Have some knowledge of managing budgets and providing monthly reports.
- Be able to lead, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of short to long term strategies focused on achieving quality enhancement of Livelihood Development Programs in the region.
- Be able to coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders regarding development planning issues and appropriate delivery mechanisms to foster and increase sustainable social economic development initiatives in the CMCA communities of South Fly, Western Province.
- Coordinate and facilitate all logistic requirements in the implementation of Livelihood Development Packages and other OTDF sectional programs, including the supervision of staff at the field base.
- Provide input on Project implementation, data collection and submission for monitoring and evaluation in collaboration with Program Services Sustainable section.
- Responsible for the overall communication, coordination and operation of Village Planning Committees (VPC) for the community projects/programs implementation
- Be able to conduct VPC meetings and attend Trust Meetings.
- Manage the approved budget for the Field Base
