Position
We’re seeking to recruit a results-driven professional for the position of Sales Manager for our Lae office.
The Sales Manager will lead the sales function for the Concrete Aggregates division in Lae, driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets.
- Manage and grow relationships with contractors, developers, and distributors.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
- Ensure that laboratory testing of concrete samples are properly monitored and executed.
- Prepares Monthly Sales Report covering sales forecast and client call reports to monitor actual performance versus targets, analyze deviations and identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate courses of action.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of sales experience in construction materials, aggregates, or cement industry
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong network within the construction and infrastructure sector
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Basic QA/QC knowledge, including concrete and aggregate testing and slump test analysis.
- Basic knowledge in site measurement, quantity estimation, and project requirements.
- Knowledge in ready-mix concrete, bricks, RCP pipes, and aggregates.
- Experience dealing with contractors, engineers, and project sites.
- Knowledge in preparing quotations and coordinating deliveries.
- Good communication and sales skills.
- Preferably with experience in the construction materials or concrete industry.
