About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to join our client’s dynamic contracts management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and implementation of contracts in alignment with company policies and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards. This role demands a strategic and detail-oriented professional with strong negotiation and contract management skills, capable of supporting multiple stakeholders and ensuring contractor compliance throughout contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raise awareness and guide contractors on the execution of H3SE activities, promoting a safety-first culture.
  • Participate in validating contract strategies by organizing and attending Contracts Committee meetings, pre-qualifying bidders, defining target prices, and evaluation criteria.
  • Work closely with Metier Partners and DUET counterparts to prepare contract dossiers, define clear contractual responsibilities, and set agendas including:
  • v Validating contract strategies, managing bidding processes, and overseeing commercial bid negotiations and analysis.
  • v Participation in recommendations for contract awards and execution of agreed documentation.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to contract owners and entities on contractual matters. Liase with the Contractors and Procument line manger for reporting and governance compliance.
  • Participate in validating contract strategies by organizing and attending Contracts Committee meetings, pre-qualifying bidders, defining target prices, and evaluation criteria.
  • Prepare and issue commercial documents for Calls for Tender (CFT), including pre-consultation dossiers and invitations to bid, ensuring alignment with HSE clauses, company procedures, instructions, and applicable legislation.
  • Verify terms and conditions (standard, general, financial) and draft or customize contracts as required.
  • Integrate HSE considerations into the Call for Tenders and contract processes within the Company and operated Joint Ventures, ensuring these factors are included in decision-making.

Requirements of the Role

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years experience in contracts management, preferably within the oil & gas, energy, or heavy engineering sectors.
  • Strong knowledge and proven application of contract law, tendering processes, and contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to HSE standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing complex contracts and working with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt templates and procedures to meet local legislative and operational requirements.
  • Proficient in contract management software and MS Office applications.
