Credit Corporation PNG is recruiting 2x suitable candidates for the role of Senior Credit Officer.

As a Senior Credit Officer, each successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, recommending, and making decisions (within delegated authority) retail, SME and commercial credit applications. The role also requires provision of response in a timely manner in line with the SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) for each loan product.

Both roles are Port Moresby based and report to the Head of Credit Risk.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage all Credit applications sent through the Credit Mailbox and Credit Portal on Halo.
• Assess and respond to all assigned loan applications in a timely manner.
• Review and allocate Credit applications to the relevant CAD Holders in a timely manner as they come through the Credit application Portal (Halo).
• Perform financial and cash flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies.
• Escalate high-risk cases.

Other Duties

• Provide assistance to Head of Credit Risk and other team members of the team as and when required.

Key Competencies

• Sound knowledge on financial analysis, loan analysis, underwriting
• 4 years or more experience in a financial institution or banking industry.
• 3-5 years’ experience in credit/loan assessment or credit officer role
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) / interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, database, accounting software

• Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
• Can work in a team and collaborate.
• Customer focused.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma in Business Management or;
• Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Business or related field (desired)
