Senior Maintenance Planner

HBS PNG LIMITED currently operates in numerous mine sites across PNG, both on the mainland and remote island locations. We own and operate one of the largest and best maintained mining fleets in PNG, offering the mining sector a variety of services including road construction, maintenance, haulage, lighting, crushing services and plant equipment hire.

We are taking expressions of interest for highly and suitably qualified individuals for the position of Senior Maintenance Planner to be based in Lae, Morobe Province. Applicants must have experience within the mining and construction fields.

As a Senior Maintenance Planner, you will work closely with maintenance, operations, and Fleet teams to drive proactive maintenance strategies, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment performance.

This role will involve:

• Coordinating with operations, purchasing, materials management, and maintenance teams
• Managing work orders using D365 Asset Management
• Updating equipment and preventative maintenance plans in D365
• Identifying and requisitioning required materials
• Assisting with scheduling and building maintenance plans
• Estimating work order costs (labor, materials, total)
• Verifying availability of parts and tools before scheduling
• Liaising with operations and stakeholders for scheduled maintenance
• Maintaining master equipment files and job plans in D365
• Performing planner workflow functions in D365
• Identifying critical components and establishing safety stock levels
• Training site planners to ensure consistency across operational groups

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong background in planning for mobile fleet operations
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
• Mining industry experience with CMMS systems (SAP, PRONTO, D365, Fleetmate) highly regarded
