The Role
Drive the organization's success by identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting on risks across all business units to promote healthy, educated, and financially self-reliant communities. You will also ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and contribute to policies that enhance organizational resilience. This pivotal role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to integrate risk management into operational planning and decision-making.
Main duties include:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all business units to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational goals and community development priorities.
- Monitor and report on risk indicators, escalating critical issues to senior management and the chairman.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate risk management practices into operational planning and decision-making.
- Maintain a risk register, ensuring it is regularly updated based on evolving internal and external conditions.
- Participate in audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk controls and recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, or financial analysis.
- Professional accreditation such as CPAPNG or CFA is desirable.
