Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Location: Port Moresby
Business Unit: GSS – IT

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our ICT team at Remington Group’s Head Office in Port Moresby.

The role supports the Group IT Manager and team to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our in-house systems. You’ll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing networked software and operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support internal systems, cloud, and network infrastructure
• Manage Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL)
• Administer Hyper-V virtualization, VPN, and remote access solutions
• Perform network assessments, security audits, and consultations
• Manage remote monitoring systems and respond to alerts
• Research, design, and document new IT solutions
• Provide escalation support and coach other engineers

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field
• 7+ years’ experience in systems, cloud, and network infrastructure
• Strong knowledge in:

• HPE servers, storage & management
• VEEAM Backup & DR solutions
• Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, GPO
• Hyper-V, Failover Clusters, V-Motion
• RDS, WDS, Exchange 2019, Office 365, SQL
• Cloud endpoint administration

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexible, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
• Clean employment record
