Store Person

An opportunity has risen within the Engineering Division for 2x experienced Store Person. This position will functionally report to the Logistics / Store Supervisor and operationally to the Technical Materials Manager.

The Store Person will be responsible for Aircraft parts Inventory including receiving, issuing, storage and control in accordance with established procedures

• Attend to aircraft parts requirements for engineers
• Assist in goods inwards & outwards areas
• Carry out Goods receipt, labelling and stock management
• Issuing of Goods using requestions in a timely manner
• Ensure stock reorders are done to ensure all stock is held above minimum stock levels
• Liaise with department managers to ensure requisitions are approved in a timely manner to ensure stock is on hand to meet demand.
• Participate and carry out stock take/cyclic stock take
• Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy
• Maintain a secure area at all times
• Other stores duties as assigned by the Manager Technical Materials
• Responsible for ensuring Aircraft Parts are stored in a safe and orderly manner. Relevant stock levels are maintained to support operational requirements.

For your application to be competitive, you will have relevant qualification with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes;

• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in Aviation Store/Warehouse/Stores knowledge [an advantage but not essential]
• Grade 12 level education
• Experienced with MS Office software
• Must be have a medium level of computer experience
• Must have experience within a stores / warehouse environment
• Previous experience with stock management software of the ability to acquire the knowledge quickly
• The ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure.
• Be hard working and trustworthy and to be able to work with minimal supervision.
