Team Leader – Infrastructure Development: Kiunga based role
- To lead a Team of 4 staffs to co-ordinate the effectively delivery of sustainable engineering infrastructure and socio
- economic services to the people of the CMCA regions including the mine-affected villages. This is done through
- providing technical advice, and project and construction management services to implement cost-effective CMCA and
- Regional Infrastructure projects as nominated, approved and funded by the CMCA Trusts and other donor funds.
Qualification, skills, work experiences and attributes for this role include:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or in Construction Management from a recognised University.
- 5-7 years relevant work experience in leading and managing projects.
- Working in a similar role in a development organisation may be an advantage.
- Have Supervisory Skills and experience
- Effective communication skills
- Having Professional certifications in Project Management may be an advantage.
- Coordinate, plan & implement various project works within the CMCA Regions & along the Fly River corridor.
- Identify & select impact projects that will deliver sustainable and long-term benefits to the wider communities with the CMCA
- Provide sound technical advice, design scope, construction methods, and costing to ensure better utilization
- of funds on sustainable projects.
- Develop reliable and cost-effective engineering designs, project scope, schedules and budgets for each works
- project nominated and approved by OTDF for delivery to communities.
- Have experience with tendering and contract awarding processes
- Ensure contractors carrying out project works deliver high quality & high-level constructions and maintenanceservices through regularly reviewing & monitoring of performance of contractors & ensuring projects are completed under agreed contractual terms and conditions.
- Maintain a close and good working relationship with CMCA Communities along the Fly River and the mine villages.
- Provide Financial Report for each activity and project carried out.
- Understand and observe the PNG Mining Act and Special Rules and established & Statutory and OTML Policies
