VESSEL BOARDING OFFICER

EFM is the largest independent, international logistics provider of sea, air and road freight movements in PNG. EFM has regional footprint throughout the South Pacific and Australia. As part of our structural improvement and to cater for the needs of our expanding customer base, an exciting opportunity exists within our Shipping Team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all boarding vessel & transhipment operations procedures from arrival to departure
• Responsible for empty manifest inward and outward
• Responsible for empty gate passes prior vessel arrival
• Responsible for all transhipment containers
• Responsible for all port authority invoices
• Responsible for coordination of malfunction/rescue reefer containers
• Available and involved as backup in vessel operation for other ports
• Attend to all Maersk operations requests
• Attend to all clients and principals email inquiry related to vessel operations
• Prepare and maintain operation files
• Prepare reports as required by BU manager
• Perform tasks as assigned and instructed by BU Manager or the management
• Other duties as requested by management time to time

Requirements:

• Hold complete diploma or bachelor’s degree
• At least 5 years’ experience in shipping industry and references from reputable employers
• Valid driver license class 3
• Clean police records
• Able to pass medical tests
• Able to use and learn new systems
• Be a great communicator and have teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and be organised
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Honest, reliable, and great work ethic
• Must have sober habit
• Able to work under pressure
