KutMor Limited is a nationally owned landowner company that services the Oil & Gas Industry in the Kutubu and Moran areas in the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate for the following role.
Workshop Manager
This is a FIFO role located in Kutubu, SHP, and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, plan and coordinate fleet servicing and maintenance activities, including Managing and allocating project resources to agreed time, cost, quality, safety, and environmental targets are met.
- Control the Workshop Management System by scheduling and recording the allocation of jobs, monitoring timely, cost-effective repairs and workshop income and experience to facilitate accurate fleet monitoring records.
- Provide day to day support to workshop supervisors around technical issues ensuring aligned standards are maintained.
- Conduct training to assist with solving complex mechanical and hydraulic problems to workshop personnel.
- Contribute to the overall business strategy whilst maintaining a collaborative relationship with other departmental managers.
- Facilitate the efficient delivery of mechanical services through communication, liaison, negotiations, and coordination’s with internal and external clients to manage client relations.
- Provide recommendation of resources, productivity, work methods and associated cost in conjunction with the workshop staff to ensure the preparation of competitive estimates for major mechanical repairs.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Trade qualifications in a field related to earthmoving plant and equipment repair and process an appropriate licence as a Motor Mechanic.
- Must have clear background of managing workshops and corporate training.
- Extensive experience in scheduling repair, maintenance and servicing of earthmoving plant, trucks and small equipment.
- Demonstrative ability to implement and monitor Health and safety, quality, and environmental requirements in relation to the Workshop operations and to facilitate training.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry would be an advantage.
- Computer Literate
- Possess a current driver’s license
- Be fully vaccinated
