1. Industrial Training Program

Kickstart your career with hands-on experience and real-world projects!
This 12-week program is the first step in a structured pathway from university to a permanent professional role at Newmont PNG, at our Lihir operation.

• Gain practical, on-the-job training
• Work on real projects under expert supervision
• Learn from experienced mentors and industry leaders
• Get a head start toward our Graduate Development Program

Program start date: November 10th, 2025
Eligibility: You must be in your 2nd or 3rd year of studying Geology or Earth Science

2. Graduate Development Program

Take your degree to the next level with our 2-year Graduate Development Program, designed to launch you into a full-time role with Newmont PNG.

• Rotate across departments and projects
• Learn cutting-edge, safe, and innovative mining practices
• Customize your path with specialist or supervisory career streams
• Build your professional network and grow with industry leaders

Program start date: January 19th, 2026
Eligibility: Open to graduates from 2023, 2024, or 2025 with a strong GPA
Applicants must be citizens of Papua New Guinea
