ICT Officer

Comrade Trustee Services Limited (CTSL), as Trustee for the Defence Force Retirement Benefit Fund (DFRBF), is seeking to hire an experienced, highly motivated individual with proven track records in performance to join its team of professionals as ICT Officer.

Responsibilities Summary

Based in our Head Office (Port Moresby) and reporting to the Team Leader - Information Communication & Technology, the ICT Officer will be responsible for providing hardware, software, networking support and maintains procurement of systems and external services for the CTSL.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Team Leader - ICT, the ICT Officer is:

• Responsible for 1^st level on-site, telephone or remote support to staff for application, network, hardware, printer or door access issues and escalation to 2^nd level support when required
• Responsible for installing, configuring computer hardware/software and operating systems and applications;
• Required to monitor and maintain computer systems and networks;
• Responsible for maintenance of the ICT Inventory system;
• Responsible to provide support for the roll-out of new applications;
• Other activities as directed by line manager and management.

Qualification and Experience

The ideal candidate must at a minimum satisfy the following criteria:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology from a recognised institution;
• Must have three years’ working experience in Information Technology;
• Competent in providing information systems support, websites and applications design and maintenance, repair and upgrade of Windows 10/11 infrastructure in a Windows Server environment
• Proficient with the use and support of Office 2016/2019 and Office 365 suite
• Experience with support of Exchange email accounts
• Sound knowledge of LAN and WAN configuration and technologies
• Some experience in website development with WordPress or other CMS
• Some experience with Windows system administration
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels;
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision;
• Team player;
• Creative, resourceful and innovative thinker and open to new ideas;
