KAP ASSESSMENT CONSULTANT

World Vision’s under NCD Accelerated Response to TB (NCD ART) Program is currently looking to recruit a suitable, qualified and experienced KAP (Knowledge, Attitude and Practice) Assessment Consultant to be based in Port Moresby, National Capital District

PURPOSE OF THIS ASSIGNMENT

The purpose of this request is to engage a Consultant to write the Assessment Report for the World Vison PNG’s NCD TB Project. This project is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). This Assignment will be for a minimum of three (3) weeks.

BRIEF ACTIVITIES TO BE UNDERTAKEN

The selected Consultant will be responsible for guiding the entire Assessment and all other responsibilities stipulated in the Terms of Reference (TOR). This will include but not limited to the following:

  • Carry out a desk review and gather information pertaining to the project with program and sector staffs
  • Coordinate with the NCD TB Project Coordinator and M&E or specific key staff members from WV PNG to gather additional information like log frame, PDD and other documents to help the consultant write up the report.
  • Part of the enumerator training
  • Develop the assessment report (including reviewed by relevant people)

TYPES OF CANDIDATE WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Qualification &Experience)

Education

  • Advanced university degree (Master) in social sciences, communication, international development or a related discipline.
  • Solid technical knowledge on Health (TB) tools and resources.
  • Demonstrated experience with programme design, development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation using both quantitative and qualitative techniques.

Experiences

  • Minimum five years of work experience in community development programmes with INGOs.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in formulation, monitoring and evaluation of Projects
  • Should be highly familiar with baseline design methodologies: qualitative and quantities data collection and Good knowledge or working with the community and knowledge of Papua New Guinea Context.

Abilities

  • Highly proficient in report writing
  • Ability to work effectively in a difficult social complex
  • Ability to work with enumerators, communities and settlements and cluster sites

Personal Qualities

  • Demonstrated high level of professionalism and ability to lead and work in a team
  • Respect Diversity and different opinions
