Registered Architect / Senior Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are looking for a creative and inspired registered architect / senior technician to handle projects from planning through to completion. You should be able to take ownership of your project and manage all aspects from design team and contractors.

To be successful in this position you should be able to visualize space, have a good understanding of construction technologies, and be an effective project manager. You will have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate superior technical design skills and be able to create designs that are functional, creative, and sustainable. You will be a self-starter capable of working on your own and meeting deadlines.

Architect Responsibilities:

• Surveys, site inspections, managing consultants, organising necessary meetings and keeping minutes.
• Prepare and submit planning drawings and liaise with NCDC to achieve desired outcome. Manage consultants and submit building consent drawings, close-out and manage the commissioning of projects.
• Adjusting designs and plans to meet requirements.
• Preparing drawings, specifications, and construction documents and ensure works are carried out on site to the approved drawings.
• Complying fully with safety standards and local planning regulations.
• Determining and adhering to budgets and timelines when managing projects.
• Capable of doing high quality 3D illustrations and concept sketches

Architect Requirements:

• Degree in architecture.
• Min 7 years’ experience in an established practice.
• Excellent technical drawing skills.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, etc
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards.
• Strong creative and visualization skills.
