Senior Program Coordinator

Come and lead a team delivering projects for the education, health and protection of children across the country.

Where you come in:

In this full-time role based in Lae, you will be responsible for leading large program and operations teams in the implementation of Save the Children’s programs in Lae.

You will make an impact by:

  • Building strong relationships with key sub-national stakeholders, including provincial and district governments, relevant CSOs and FBOs and private sector.
  • Managing the expenditure of costs, identifying cost savings where possible.
  • Leading implementation of program activities that meet project goals, objectives, expected results and donor requirements.
  • Ensuring implementation of project MEAL plans to a high quality.
  • Managing staff performance, including coaching and professional development.

This role requires:

  • Proven project management skills and demonstrated experience in managing complex projects
  • Proven financial management skills.
  • Solid understanding of program logic and ability to translate proposals into a detailed activity plan.
  • Excellent communications and influencing skills and the ability to converse with both technical and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong English language skills and an ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • A willingness to travel to regional locations within PNG.
