Comrade Trustee Services Limited (CTSL), is a licensed corporate trustee approved by the Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG) for the Defence Force Retirement Benefit Fund. As the licenced Trustee, CTSL has ultimate legal responsibility for the prudent management of the Fund subject to the requirements of the Defence Force Retirement Benefits Act, the Superannuation (General Provisions) Act 2000 and the regulatory requirements of the BPNG.

In line with its legal responsibility and functions, CTSL is looking for an experienced, motivated and high performing

individual to fill the role of Team Leader - Awareness.

Purpose

The purpose of the position is to provide assistant to the Manager for the delivery of timely, effective, relevant and professional services to CTSL’s members in line with agreed standards in alignment with the approved strategies and providing the necessary support and leadership to the team that is responsible for delivery of the service and the growth aspirations of the fund while ensuring full compliance to set policies & procedures.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager – Member Service, the Team Leader Awareness is responsible to:

  • Provide the necessary support and leadership to the Awareness team to deliver on the expectations of the organisation;
  • Improve customer service experience and ensure member services are delivered consistently in terms of agreed standards;
  • Proactively drive Fund awareness sessions for both Accumulation and Pension Schemes;
  • Proactively drive Discount Programs with product distributors and service providers;
  • Production of member notices and information briefs for Internal or Public release;
  • Production of quarterly newsletters;
  • Updating of Funds Web & Facebook pages including managing of USSD services;
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Keep member complaints to an absolute minimum by taking ownership of members issues and following through for timely resolution;
  • Promote continuous improvement by proactively providing suggestions on changes to policies and procedures which would assist with better risk management and improved service delivery;
  • Undertake regular market research to review and develop current and new products;
  • Adhere to and manage within the approved budget;
  • Ensure all member service activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization;
  • Other responsibilities as identified and required.

Qualification and Experience

The ideal candidate must at a minimum satisfy the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Management or similar;
  • Minimum work experiences of 3 years in a similar role within the superannuation industry;
  • Professional member services experiences within a superannuation or financial industry would be an advantage;
  • Ability to understand and interpret Superannuation Act and other relevant legislations within the Superannuation Industry;
  • Awareness of superannuation’s industry’s latest technology trends and applications;
  • Working knowledge of customer service software, databases and tools;
  • Ability to think strategically and to lead;
  • Customer Oriented and excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills;
  • Ability to develop and communicate business plans within the department;
  • Ability to supervises, coach/mentor and upskill capacity within the team;
  • People Management skills;
  • Strong work ethics, high level of integrity and professionalism;
  • Flexibility to travel multiple locations within PNG (when required); and
  • Flexibility to work after hours and weekend (when required).
