Training/Riding Chief Engineer - Maritime

P&O Maritime Services, PNG BU are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Training/Riding Chief Engineer to join our dedicated team based in Motukea Island. This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned maritime professional to contribute to our operations and training of our local engineers.

We are looking for individuals who have:

• Certificate of Proficiency as Chief Engineer issued from Flag State
• 2 to 3 years as Senior Mariner
• Demonstrated knowledge of ISM, Quality and Safety Management systems
• High level of English proficiency (written and verbal) and strong report writing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing planned maintenance systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
• Well-developed leadership, management and influencing skills
• High level analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Able to work under pressure and respond to changing work demands.
• Experienced with a multi-national/ multi-cultural work force.
• Strong customer service orientation
• Team player with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
• A training qualification and 1+ year in a training or education capacity is preferred (though training can be provided)
