Warehouse, Logistics & Procurement Coordinator
Based in Port Moresby

This position supports the growth of the LPG market whilst maintaining an acceptable level of customer service. Reporting to the Accounting Manager this position is responsible for;
Supporting the growth of the LPG market whilst maintaining an acceptable level of customer service.
Physical management of non-gas inventory, and cost effective procurement, sales and distribution of non-gas stock, cylinders and general cargo into Port Moresby, Lae and Rabaul seaboard terminals and transit transportation to inland terminals.
Coordinates industrial gas stock level update and Customs clearance for new cargo intake into sea-port terminal.
Strengthens and maintains relationships with cartage contractors, shipping service providers and agents and various suppliers to achieve the deliverable outcomes desired in order to ensure minimal disruptions to Origin’s business operations whilst meeting its internal and external customer’s service expectations.
Coordinate timely and effective procurement and distribution of local and off shore non-gas inventory.
Obtain prior Customs clearance and ensure smooth all seaboard terminal LP Gas cargo discharge, timely payment of Custom duties and agency fee and follow-up on all Protest Notes and claim credit where required.
Maintain safe and secure storage facility of non-gas inventory to ensure all non-gas stock movement are accounted and stock take variance within tolerance. All movement in full compliance with Finance and Administration procedures.
Assist terminal management to procure and maintain stock for all critical terminal consumables and timely replenishment.
Coordinate accurate stock takes as required and account for variances.
Timely procurement of local parts and fittings to support service and installation and business development projects.
Negotiate and manage cost effective freight and cartage services and agents and maintain effective relationship to maintain an acceptable level of service from service providers.
Provide timely key business visibility and management reports.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures as part of continuous improvement.
Provide HSE leadership in promoting high standards of HSE through Origin HSE programs and initiatives and drive achievement of HSE objectives and KPI’s
The person we seek must have the following qualifications and experience;
Minimum of Diploma Degree in Accounting or Business Management from recognized tertiary institution
At least 5 to 10 years of experience in inventory and logistics.
Current driver’s license
Current Forklift license
High technical skills with strong customer focus
Ability to utilize resources effectively
Proficient with MS Office application and business management system.
Hands on experience in Attache or Pronto software
Exposure to a complex retail environment or energy industry
Exposure to stock control management
