Youth Program Officer to lead and implement effective youth program activities in their Youth Opportunities Program.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Youth Program Officer will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of leading the implementation of all youth program priorities under the Youth Opportunities Program, including, Education and Learning, Employment, Leadership & Community Development.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain positive relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support the program and its activities
- Efficiently plan, monitor and implement activities in close collaboration with the Senior Project Manager, Field Operations Managers and other relevant partners.
- Ensure the Youth Opportunities Program aligns with Oil Search Foundation, Santos and the National Government’s policies, strategies and plans
- Support with the development of annual budgets for approved activities for the Youth Opportunities Program
- Monitor and report on expenditure for the budget to enable effective planning and resource allocation
- Participate in OSF strategic planning and implementation of new program opportunities and related work
- Provide efficient program reports to the Senior Program Manager and Performance team regarding the quality, accuracy and timeliness surrounding the program
Key Requirements - Qualification in Education or a Humanities field from a recognized tertiary institution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with excellent understanding of the education and training sector in Papua New Guinea
- Proficiency in undertaking education related needs assessment and other related M & E activities
- Experience in budgeting and planning programs preferably in the development sector in Papua New Guinea
- Strong analytical, planning, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and strict timeframes
