ROLE DESCRIPTION
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
The Institute of Business Studies (IBS), from its humble beginning in 1987 as an arm of Nades & Associates primarily providing revision classes for the needs of Papua New Guinea Institute of Accountants (now CPA PNG), has evolved into a private University level Institution over the last 34 years. Today we are in one of the largest business schools in the country and offer degree programs in the fields of Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Economics & Development Studies, and Information Technology. We also continue to provide study pathways for grade 10 & 11 school leavers including industry accreditations for those seasoned professionals who want to get certified in their field.
Our success is the fruit of our dedicated team committed to making a difference in Papua New Guinea, through their efforts to help educate current and future citizens on Papua New Guinea.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
As an Alumni and Placement Coordinator, Develop and nurture relationships with local, regional, and national employers to create internship and job placement opportunities for students. This involves cold calling, networking at industry events, and leveraging existing connections to establish partnerships. Plan and execute career fairs, employer information sessions, and networking events on campus to connect students with potential employers. Coordinate logistics, invite employers, and promote events to maximize student participation.
