  • DIRECTOR HUMAN RESOURCES – IHG PNG

Use your experience as Strategic Human Resources Business Partner for Holiday Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza Residences Port Moresby. Act as the main resources for the General Managers demonstrating sound knowledge of the Employment Law and OH&S Legislation of PNG. Guide and mentor HR Managers. Focus on ongoing engagement initiatives to support the IHG Culture and True Hospitality Service Skills. Implement goals and strategies to attract and retain talent.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s in Human Resource, Business Administration or related field.
  2. Over 5 years management experience in human resources, management operations. Knowledge of Local Labour and Employment Regulations.
  3. Liaises with individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, employee benefits representatives, PNGICA, DLIR, EFPNG, applicants, government officials, colleges and universities, competitors, and other members of the local community.
  4. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand, and the Company.
  5. Problem solving, analytical, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

  • HR/ TRAINING MANAGER

Lead on effective HR management and training inline with the hotel department training plans, meeting regulatory, industry and strategic needs, and embedding best practice throughout the two properties. The HR and Training Manager will need to be agile, comfortable, and confident in dealing with the Head of Departments and employees. The HR/ Training Manager will need to deliver innovative solutions to training needs and delivery, from virtual onboarding, online trainings to implementing and lead and HR practices in line with the IHG Ways of Working. Autonomously, the HR and Training Manager needs to be able to span the strategic HR planning to the practical, dealing with day-to-day HR issues on the ground and delivering frontline training.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s in Human Resource or Business Management.
  2. Certificate in Workplace Training and Assessment would be an advantage.
  3. 5 years management experience in similar management role, training and development experience is essential for this role.

  • HR SUPPORT OFFICER

Assist the Director of HR and the HR team in recruitment, employee record maintenance, employment services, training and provide clerical support to all employees as and when

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Proven experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position
  2. Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  3. Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Able payroll system
  4. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude. Strong ethics and reliability
  6. Associate Certificate/ Diploma or Degree in HR/ business administration, social studies, or relevant field; further training is an advantage.
  7. HR credentials (e.g. PNGHRI Member, PNGHR Certificate in HR)
