Summary

The Junior Architect I plays a supportive role within the architectural team, assisting in the design and development of building projects under the guidance of senior staff. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various stages of architectural design, from conceptualization to construction documentation. The Junior Architect will work closely with experienced professionals, contributing creatively and technically to diverse architectural projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of architectural designs, working under the supervision of Senior Architects and Project Managers.
  • Participate in the preparation of drawings, plans, models, and specifications, utilizing architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Collaborate with team members on design concepts, material selection, and construction methods, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
  • Support the creation of presentations and renderings for client meetings and proposals.
  • Contribute to site analysis, including field measurements, surveys, and research related to project context and regulations.
  • Engage in the preparation of construction documents, adhering to relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, project coordination, and communication with other stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project files, documentation, and records.
  • Continuously learn and develop professional skills, staying abreast of industry trends, software, and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in architectural design, or equivalent internship experience. Basic proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and others.
  • Understanding of architectural principles, design concepts, and construction processes.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, take on new challenges, and contribute creatively to projects.
  • Ability to work under supervision, follow directions, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
