Steamships Limited is in search of a proven, capable and results-driven individual for the role of a Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Hotel General Manager.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Manager located in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. As a Maintenance Manager, you will maintain systems and equipment by maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff. He/she will also oversee hotel infrastructure to ensure functionality and safety at all times, responsible for the implementation of maintenance and safety standards of the Hotel.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5-6 years in Maintenance, Planning and management in a hotel or commercial industry.
• Demonstrate expertise and knowledge with air – conditioning, electrical installation, and systems of commercial nature.
• Flexible and able to work on shifts.

Qualifications and Key Ccompetencies

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering or Certified Trades qualification from PNG NATTB or relevant.
• Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVC Systems is essential,
• In – depth knowledge in building codes and Health and safety regulations.
• Leadership skills
• Organized with meticulous attention to details
• High degree of responsibility & accountability
• Computer Literate,
• Problem solving skills
