JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for suitably qualified candidates who will take on the role of Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime. Hence, this role is to ensure a smooth functioning of our retail facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine maintenance on retail equipment, including HVAC systems, refrigeration units, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address maintenance needs.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to resolve issues swiftly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Uphold safety standards and protocols while executing maintenance tasks.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a retail or FMCG environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
