The opportunity:
Our client, who operates in the FMCG sector across Papua New Guinea is Seeking an experienced Process & Control Improvement Manager to join their operations in Port Moresby to manage internal controls, drive continuous improvement, lead risk management, and enhance fraud prevention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Custodian of Internal Control and CPI Frameworks
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes and controls
  • Lead Risk Management process, identifying and responding to risks
  • Improve fraud prevention and detection, support investigations
  • Ensure compliance and assurance through stakeholders
  • Coordinate Lines of Defence activities, including audits
  • Monitor control effectiveness, implement remedial actions
  • Design, implement, and maintain business processes and controls
  • Foster process improvement culture, realize benefits
  • Ensure alignment with policies, procedures, and Rules
  • Support Global and External Audits, drive closure of findings
  • Drive People and Personal Development, partner with stakeholders

Key requirements:
  • University Degree in Economics/Business Administration, with preference for a Post Graduate Degree/MBA in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA/CIMA/RA/RE/CPA or CIA/RO
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Working knowledge of process risk management, internal control, process management, fraud management, and compliance
  • Experience in internal control, internal/external audit, or process management and improvement
  • Proficiency in organizing and leading cross-functional teams, conducting analyses, and implementing changes for business performance improvement
  • Strong quantitative, statistical, and computer skills, including advanced spreadsheet and/or database application abilities
  • Experience in interacting with senior management, presenting reports, and communicating effectively for driving company-wide improvement
