Security Leading Hand/Co-Ordinator

We have a great team that just need a leader.

We want someone to train and organise a small team in Gordons - Customer Service Guest Greetings and organised safety and security is critical to our group.

You will be able to -

  • Enable the safety and security of our people.
  • Coach and lead hands-on to maintain professional security operations.
  • Facilitate and work with additional Security Contractors.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders.

The Opportunity:

This role will oversee the security of all facets of people, stock, assets and premises. Work with Group Security advisors in addressing all matters relating to the Security function, risk assessments, liaising with key stakeholders and maintaining security infrastructure to ensure outstanding security.

Reporting to the Senior Management Team the Leading Hand/Co-Ordinator is responsible fr implementing improved security disciplines, audits, rosters, hiring and staff morale.

Key responsibilities:

  • Security analysis with weekly reporting
  • Provide full security coverage for staff and contractors
  • Maintain base security, operational activities, staff transport and training
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including Group Security leaders.
  • Management of security systems and procedures
  • Maintain security duties for fleet and provide support and coverage
  • Deliver security briefings, inductions, and training as required
  • Be able to work required hours including weekends and Public Holidays.

Key requirements:

  • Qualifications in security and risk management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in security, law enforcement or military operations
  • Preferred security experience in food production and 24 hour facility.
  • Minimum 2 years’ supervision experience in security operations
  • MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess strong leadership, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Maintain records, collect data and prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks, crimes and incidents
